Cub (カブ, Cub) is a dog owned by Kanae Sumida. He appears in 5 Centimeters per Second.
Background
Cub is a brown dog that Kanae found on the seashore when she was in Grade Six. She named it after her sister's motorbike, as she was envious of it.

Cub usually sits in a brass and runs outside to welcome Kanae when she returns from school.
