Daru (ダル, Daru) is a main character in She and Her Cat: Everything Flows. It was a male pet cat of Miyu.
Background[]
Daru was born with 3 other siblings, but he was too weak to compete for his mother's milk. One day, his family was slain by a bird of prey, leaving him orphan. Miyu's mother brought him to play with her, but she initially hated him for being a black cat and for breaking her late father's mug. Child Miyu once tried to abandon him, but she then had a change of heart. Daru's accompaniment helped Miyu befriend Tomoka.
In She and Her Cat: Everything Flows[]
He passionately observed her daily life. Before his death, the cat helped Miyu reconcile with her mother. He later reincarnated into Chobi.
