Iwafune Station.

Iwafune Station (岩舟駅, Iwafune-eki) is a railway station on the Ryōmō Line in Tochigi, Japan. It appears in 5 Centimeters per Second.

Iwafune Station was opened on 10 October 1898 as Iwafune Station (岩船駅, Iwafune-eki). It was renamed to its present kanji spelling on 1 March 1902. The station was absorbed into the JR East network upon the privatization of the Japanese National Railways (JNR) on 1 April 1987. Iwafune Station is served by the Ryōmō Line, and is located 19.3 km from the terminus of the line at Oyama Station.

March 4, 1995, Takaki Tōno arrived at this station to meet Akari. They used their dinner at this place, before leaving.

At the end of 2007, an adult Akari bid farewell to her parents at this station to prepare for her wedding with Yūichi in Tokyo.

While living in Iwafune, Akari frequently visited this station to refresh her feelings and memories for Takaki.

November 16, 2007, Takaki came to Iwafune by train with his then-girlfriend Risa Mizuno, but his overflowing memories of Akari made him unable to get off the train before the doors closed, leaving Risa behind.
