Kentaro Araki (荒木健太郎, Araki Kentarō) is a Japanese meteorologist. He is the science advisor for Weathering with You. He also appeared as himself in the movie.

He is a researcher at a laboratory in Waseda University. He agreed to meet Natsumi Suga and Hodaka Morishima because of the introduction came from Sekiguchi.
In Weathering with You[]
Araki was approached by Natsumi and Hodaka Morishima as they were collecting information of the sunshine girl. Initially rebuffing them, he later let them in and told them of his record of the strange phenomenon in the sky.
