Nishinaka Junior High School (西中学校, Nishinaka-gakkō, West Middle School) is a fictional school in Tokyo, which appears in 5 Centimeters per Second. It is attended by Takaki Tōno until his Grade 7. It is unknown if it is based on a real-life school.

Nishinaka Junior High School is near to both Takaki and Akari's houses. Also, this school must be close to Gōtokuji Station enough that a seventh-grader like Takaki could walk from it after class (which should be at 3:30pm) to the station before his train departs (at 3:54pm)

Takaki Tōno and Akari Shinohara planned to attend this school together after graduating from their elementary school, but Akari eventually could not due to her family's transfer to Iwafune.
On March 4, 1995, Takaki skipped his club and went from this school to Gōtokuji Station, on his trip to meet Akari at Iwafune Station.
