Tanegashima Airport (種子島空港, Tanegashima Kūkō) was an small airport in Tanegashima, Kagoshima. It appears in 5 Centimeters per Second.

The airport was opened on July 27, 1962. Although its runway was extended from 1,000 m to 1,500 m in 1973, it was not suitable to handle jet aircraft, and was closed on March 16, 2006, replaced by the bigger New Tanegashima Airport (新種子島空港, Shin Tanegashima Kūkō) located 8 kilometres away from the original airport.
