Trivia[]
- An earlier version of the storyboard shows that the third part of the movie was supposed to be set in 2010, instead of 2008. This explains the incorrect counting of passed years in 5 Centimeters per Second novel like "It was seventeen years ago" for an event in 1993 or "fifteen years ago at that station" for 1995.
- Likewise, 5 Centimeters per Second: one more side sets Akari's pre-wedding train trip 14 years after her last reunion with Takaki, placing it in 2009.
