On September 4, 2013, she and her husband were present at the village's ritual dance, where she commented about the likeness of Mitsuha and Yotsuha to their mother.
In 2016, after the comet crash, she and her husband ran a Takayama ramen store somewhere in Gifu. One day, when a customer took out a drawing from his bag, she recognized it to be Itomori and told her husband to come and confirm it. The woman said her husband was born in Itomori.
